The Aura Triplex: Architectural Minimalism in Tribeca
A sculptural triplex interior anchored by a floating blackened steel staircase and bookmatched Calacatta marble.
The Client Brief & Vision
Spanning the top three floors of an iconic Tribeca building, The Aura Penthouse is a masterclass in restrained luxury. The renovation transformed compartmentalized floor plates into an open, flowing gallery for museum-quality art and contemporary living.
Structural & Environmental Constraints
Carving a triple-height lightwell through existing pre-war concrete slabs while reinforcing structural loads for a 12-ton marble hearth and floating architectural staircase.
Engineered Architectural Execution
We integrated hidden structural titanium tension rods to suspend the sculptural staircase. Recessed linear cove lighting and micro-cement floors unify the spatial sequence into a coherent, contemplative experience.
