Vanguard Financial HQ: The Kinetic Green Tower
A 24-story bioclimatic corporate tower featuring automated dynamic louvers and 8-story vertical sky-gardens.
The Client Brief & Vision
Commissioned as the Asia-Pacific headquarters for an international asset fund, Vanguard Tower redefines tropical high-rise commercial architecture. By weaving landscaped communal sky gardens every three floors, it transforms a dense urban workplace into a breathing vertical ecosystem.
Structural & Environmental Constraints
Singapore's equatorial sun caused massive solar heat gain across high-rise curtain walls, demanding excessive HVAC cooling and resulting in high operational carbon emissions.
Engineered Architectural Execution
We designed an algorithmically responsive double-skin facade equipped with dynamic anodized aluminum louvers that pivot with the sun's trajectory. Combined with natural cross-ventilation atriums, cooling loads were slashed by 38%.
